Who is Sven Thorgren?

I’m a snowboarder traveling the world with my friends competing, filming and enjoying life along the way. Currently living in Kläppen, Sweden.

I’m born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in a family of five kids. Got in to snowboarding at the age of 7, It was so much fun that I kept riding together with my older brother Nils and progression went fast. I was spending almost every night after school in a small hill called Väsjöbacken just outside Stockholm in the winters.

At the age of twelve, I got my first sponsor and I have now been doing this professionally since the age of fourteen.

At the age of fifteen I moved away from home and started in a Swedish elit snowboard school in Malung, a big reason that I've become what I am today.

In 2013 I started of the season winning the prestigious Air&Style in China and the next week taking a silver medal at Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colorado. All of a sudden I had become a medal favorite for the 2014 Olympic winter games in Sochi, I ended up with a 4th place, a big achievement for me at that time.

Since then I've been able to get X-games medals, winning the overall Air&Style tour along with other achievements.

Plans for the future is to keep progressing and have fun snowboarding as much as possible!
